Thanksgiving Weekend

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It’s hard to believe that it is already December. Man, time flies! Angus and I had a fabulous holiday weekend filled with fitness, food and fun. Here’s a brief recap of the holiday:

On Wednesday it was pouring rain all day. Angus got home from work early and we went to the Y to get a good workout in and then stopped by the Corner Room for a happy hour drink and some snacks. When we got home I got right to work in the kitchen making my pumpkin whoopie pies for Thanksgiving dessert. (Yes there was pie too, of course!) photo copy 12

We started the Thanksgiving holiday off with a brisk 4 mile run. I opted out of the Thanksgiving Day 4-Miler race so we did our very own “turkey trot”. The run was followed by a late afternoon “dinner” at my parent’s house. Delicious!

On Friday we ventured up to Acadia National Park with my friend Alex and her boyfriend, Jeff. We went for a chilly little hike and then enjoyed some well-earned hot chocolates in Bar Harbor.

Saturday was my first day teaching at Quest cycle. After class Angus and I took a walk on the beach and went down to the Old Port to check out the sales for Small Business Saturday and I FINALLY got a Sea Bag. I am so excited for it and it’s my new bag for all my spin/gym stuff.   photo copy 10 photo copy 11

Now I’m enjoying the last day of my mini-vacation. Tomorrow it’s Afterburn at the BA bright and early at 6:15 a.m. and then I’m teaching a lunch time spin class at IDEXX at noon! Only 5 more days of waking up at 5 a.m.! I’m sad to leave everyone at the Body Architect but also very excited to start my new adventure with Quest Fitness!
